So if you are a team which mostly only works 80%, and you train with each other, then you only ever practice against players who give 80%. So whenb you play the harder working teams you get swamped cos you can't handle the pressure.

The way our forwards dismantled their young, inexperienced backline in the 4th quarter. That's the stuff that bloats my hope.

The skipper was woefully shit and at his selfish best tonight.

First time in ages, years even that the midfield worked as a unit in that opening quarter - they blocked for him, they harassed Macaffer, they made sure to take a hit in the tackle to make sure they used the ball as well as they could and gave Murphy a free run at the ball.

Most of these passages of play were met with panicky hospital handballs or rushed kicks to avoid taking a hit himself.

Just quietly, something that's gone under the radar...last week we kicked 4 goals in the first 10 minutes of the first quarter, 4 goals in the first 10 of the second and 5 goals in the last 10 minutes of the last. That's 13 goals in 30 minutes - one quarter. AND ONE GOAL FOR THE OTHER THREE QUARTERS.

Over the last two weeks, we kicked the equivalent of 3 goals in 6 quarters of football.

I've loved every post on all 139 pages.
BUT...
They are a rabble of a team.
They are a rabble of a club.
We have so outpaced them on and off the field that I don't see them as our great rival any more.
Don't get me wrong, I have no sympathy for the scum, but I just don't rate them as a club at all. I see them as the equal of St Kilda, Bulldogs or North now. They are no power for us to be in any rivalry with. They are so far below us that my hate has morphed to contempt / indifference.
