They've effectively been paying Malthouse's salary for years. In Mick's final years with us, Carlton had a $10 million debt with Westpac. The interest payments on that would have been in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Westpac is one of our major sponsors. Money leaves Carlton, goes through the bank to us and we paid our coach. I called this over a year ago. Consider also Neeldy, Brad Scott, Scott Watters. It's a masterful plan they hatched that fateful day they decided to win that 'damn premiership'.
