What doesn't?5150 wrote:Is it true JA's make you fart? I remember hearing it on a cooking show or something. :shock:watt price tully wrote:I'm partial to steamed broccoli & cauiliflower. Cauliflower in Indian vege curries is magnificent - usually with potato & peas. I like all veg but my kids baulk at brussel sprouts & broad beans which my wife & I love.
The other vege I like but seems to have a very short season is Jerusalem artichoke - a root like vege tuber. It has nothing to do with jerusalem & nothing to do with artichokes although acc to wiki a frenchman thought the inner tuber was similar in taste to artichokes & so the name grew. Magnificent baked - sought of nutty taste - have to wash & peel it looks a bity like ginger & yummy along with baked spuds & anything else you put on the baking tray.
Has any one else tried them?

WPT, your joint sounds like a three-star Michelin restaurant! I'm just lucky it's pretty cheap to eat out over here or I'd be in trouble!
In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

Went to a pizza place for a work do last night on the water at Docklands.
Do your self a favor, don't bother!
The antipasto was nice, good actually, but the seared beef salad I had, ugh, seriously it didn't even look like meat! Quite a few had pizzas, and they looked very bland. The parmas were fried to the death,
Been to three restaurants there now, all crap! It's like they think your just happy to have the view!

Doing some pasta dishes
Last night knocked up some chicken fettuccine with zucchini, bacon, capsicum and baby spinach in a tomato based sauce.
Tonight went back to old school.
Mince meat, mushrooms, beans, peas, corn, BBQ sauce, garlic, chilli (powder and flakes) tomatoes and shell pasta all mixed up together. Delish.

last night i went to the local fish and chip shop, they recently changed owners so i thought i would give them a go. Last owners had no idea how to make a decent burger or how to grill a flake. The new owners seem to know what there doing but they cant handle the orders, they have 3 staff behind counter but do 1 order at a time quite annoying
