#5 Jamie Elliott

RIVALS hoping Collingwood's manic forward pressure will drop off next season had better think again.

Magpies recruit Jamie Elliott says he can't wait to hear the Collingwood army roar when he chases down an opposition defender close to goal.

Elliott was pre-listed by Greater Western Sydney and then traded to the Magpies in an exchange that also saw Irishman Marty Clark return to the Westpac Centre last week.

The 19-year-old missed selection in last years draft, but was invited to play another season with TAC Cup side Murray Bushrangers where he averaged 18.2 disposals, 5.8 marks and kicked 10 goals in his five appearances this year
I am a small forward. A small, lead-up, crumbing forward, Elliott said on the Collingwood website.
I love to tackle and I love the pressure of the game. I love the excitement that it brings as well.

Thought we could do with an article on Jamie Elliott. :)

i hope hine sees something in the lad, its not overly persuasive when you read he got overlooked in last years draft and gold coast wanted to ship him off.

After seeing that page all I wanna do is beat the living daylights out of Drasko of Flemington.

The forward press wasn't that manic in the Grand Final but i suppose Didak was playing

I'm a bit worried that Jamie has modeled himself on Stephen Milne.

Why Tomoleary? Drasko is wrong only in the sense we had NO press in operation in the grand final.

There are aspects of Milne's footy that are very very very good, AA quality even, it's his persona and the fact he's a germ that is objectionable.

ok so when I have been to training I've seen him training with the reserves. No tape or any signs of injury. Now I know he had a hamstring issue in february, club said it was 1 - 2 week thing. Played the nab cup game in adelaide, hasnt played a vfl game since. Not on the injury list, not playing. Anyone have any ideas why ?? Does he have an injury I'm not aware of ??

I'm positive Matty Lappin said that he could play a few games this year when we drafted him. So does anyone have any news on him ?

He got subbed off at qtr time in the last practice game against the Saints and then took part in kick-to-kick drills at half time in that same game. I have not seen him since.

Cautious with his return from injury or club imposed sanction that is being kept in house?
